About Me
Hey there! I am Donna.
I am so happy you are here! I am passionate about helping people navigate the seasons of life. It is pretty rough waters out there sometimes and we all could use someone to listen and help us find our way.
To help you get to know me, I want to tell you a little more about myself. I am a mother, daughter, sister, friend, homeschooler, and counselor, which means I am juggling a lot of hats! I love each and every one of those aspects of my life, but none of these roles fully defines me. The foundation of who I am is defined by my relationship with Jesus. It shapes how I see myself, the world around me, and even you. I see you as unique and wonderful, someone to be accepted, loved, and valued.
My hope is that whether we ever talk about spiritual things or not, you feel safe, cared for, and welcome when we talk. I think it is only in that context that change and healing begin to unfold.

Lived Experience
I am incredibly grateful for all of the education and training that I have received, and it is important to me to continue to grow as a therapist. But, I also want you to know that when I enter the room, I don't do so with just a head full of book knowledge.
I am a human, which means that I too have experienced the depths of despair. I know the pain of walking through broken relationships, broken dreams, and a broken body. I have experienced the disorienting devastation of having your world turned upside down by a cancer diagnosis or by a jarring relational rupture. I know the crushing weight of depression and anxiety. I also know that healing and hope is possible even when things are at their darkest.
I absolutely bring knowledge and skill into the room when we meet, but I also bring the hope of someone who has walked through the darkest night and seen the mercies of a new dawn.
